Optimize Staffing

LiveIQ provides a number of tools that you can use to help optimize staffing at your restaurants. These tools include peak times, crew hours, and ideal productivity.

Peak times are periods during the day when you expect to be busier than usual. You can use the crew hours functionality to set a rule in basic mode for how many employees you need to schedule at these times.

By default, LiveIQ uses a set of standard peak times to help you build your schedules. However, you can change the peak times if you wish. If you change the peak times, LiveIQ uses your peak times with the parameters that you have set for crew hours to help you build efficient and effective schedules.

The following screen shot shows how the bars on the Enhanced Scheduling screen indicate the crew hours and other staffing data.

When you hover over a particular bar, LiveIQ displays the data for crew hours, predicted units, and ideal productivity. You can use this information to help you prepare and optimize the schedule.
